Located along the Memorial Corridor in the Grant Park community is the neighborhood grocer, Grant Park Market. This adaptive reuse, interior buildout is a part of the Larkin Redevelopment - a clustering of early 20th-century warehouse buildings.
The Grant Park Market team gave a simple task: design a classy, bright, mom-and-pop grocer that is the antithesis of the suburban supermarket. Our solution was to let their product do the talking. The vibrant colors of their carefully curated produce, florals, wines, craft beer, and boutique foodstuffs are brought center stage with custom lighting and the neutral backdrop of the historic warehouse in which it is housed. The culmination of the space: the luncheonette counter, "Gather" wrapped in luxurious color, textures, and a bartop that whispers, "gather round for a damn good sandwich and a glass of wine."
