RM HOUSE
This existing house was a small bungalow on a tight lot in a coveted location directly across the street from the Old Fourth Ward Park. Neighboring houses to the east are modern and cubic, and the older houses to the west are craftsman bungalows. The approach for this property is a clean line gable form to transition between the two identities in the Old Fourth Ward.
Living, kitchen, dining, and guest room spaces are on the street level, while the upper level houses the bedrooms and a separate living area that opens onto the large balcony facing the park. A rezone from R-4 to R-4B was obtained to increase the allowable area of the house as needed by the growing young family.
